1. Broken Banners

Thursday, November 2nd, 7:30pm
Center for the Arts at the Armory, Somerville

Throughout history musical trailblazers have challenged the pretenses laid out before them. With his 3rd Symphony Beethoven launched the Romantic era of classical music. Charles Ives and Jessie Montgomery ask us to look deeper into the complex questions of nations and humanity. Join us for our first show of the season as we take a musical dive into what happens when we question authority.

Parlor Series: L'Histoire du Aeronaut

Sunday, December 3rd, 7:00pm
Aeronaut Brewing Co., Somerville

We're excited to bring the Parlor Series to Aeronaut Brewing Co.'s Pindrop Sessions, an evening of classical music focused drinking and revelry, where the atmosphere is so quiet, you can hear a pin drop!

2. Drumming

March, Date TBA
OBERON, Cambridge

Drums have been an essential part of music longer than any other instrument besides the human voice. Join us as we welcome percussion phenom Maria Finkelmeier to the Phoenix stage for a night of everything percussion. From Phoenix's own arrangement of J.S. Bach's 1750 Art of Fugue to Anna Clyne's 2013 A Wonderful Day, it's a night of drumming!

Center for the Arts at the Armory, Somerville

The sun has set but the fun and mischief are just beginning. Join us for our last orchestral show of the season and hear Felix Mendelssohn's legendary music written for Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. We'll also be featuring Phoenix hornist Nick Auer on Benjamin Britten's Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings. Bring your friends and grab a drink, it's the perfect excuse for a nightcap!
