Parlor Series: L'Histoire du Aeronaut
Sunday, December 3rd, 7:00pm
Aeronaut Brewing Co.
14 Tyler St, Somerville, MA
We're pumped to be joining forces with Aeronaut Brewing Co. for the third event in their newly launched Pindrop Sessions. These classical music nights bring, "A soft focus on classical music. No stodginess. No competing sound. Shared silence. And sweet musical goodness." On 12/3 we're bringing Stravinsky's L'Histoire du Soldat (The Soldier's Tale) to life. L'Histoire is the theatrical story of a Soldier who trades his fiddle to the devil in return for money and finds his life turned upside down. The music is scored for and unusual septet of violin, bass, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, and percussion, and we're excited beyond imagination to be joined by Frontline's Will Lyman, who will be narrating.
