Dear Friends,

It's a new year here at Phoenix, and as we enter our third season I'm happy to announce our third Annual Fund. Two years ago, we launched with the goal of creating exciting and social concert experiences for our audiences so that the music we love so much could be accessible to a wider group of people. Before we launched we turned to our families and closest friends to help make this dream a reality. Over our first two seasons we've met so many people and made so many new friends at our concerts.

Season 3 is our most ambitious yet. Centered around folk music from all over the globe, it expands our offerings from three concerts to four full concerts for the first time ever. We're hosting three separate chamber events at bars and restaurants around Boston during our season as part of our parlor series. And, as always, we're working hard behind the scenes to bring you unparalleled access to the musicians of Phoenix and the music that we play.

Our musicians are working harder than ever to bring you our biggest season to date. We have more rehearsals, there's more practicing to do, more venues to be booked, and more music to be rented. I could not possibly be prouder of the work our administrative team does to put together these events, working tirelessly in their spare time to make sure the technicalities are out of the way so that you can have the best experience possible at our events.

Of course, all of this costs money. This year for our Annual Fund, we're introducing set giving levels that include rewards so that you can experience Phoenix behind the scenes, or even in your own home. If you're curious about the different rewards we have to offer click here for more information. We've set an ambitious goal to raise $15,000 by the end of the season from donors like you. This, along with ticket revenue and grants, will ensure that Phoenix has a bright future as we look forward to Season 4 next year.

If you've been to our concerts and enjoyed what we have to offer, even if you haven't been, but love what we stand for, we ask that you donate what you can to ensure that classical music remains an accessible and vital art form to 21st century audiences of all creeds and backgrounds. Every donation means the world to both me and the musicians of Phoenix as we continue prepare for this season and start planning the next.

Thank You,
Matthew Szymanski
